There Can Only Be One (Winner of the Mini-Contest)

As of now, the official entry period for the Mini-Contest is closed.

For those who missed the original announcement, the Friends of the Merril Short Story Contest were running, in conjunction with Author Creations, a Mini-Contest with a pre-fabricated book cover (provided by Author Creations) as its prize.

We have, this morning, drawn the winning name from the hat provided, along with several small rabbits who may or may not have belonged to the hat’s original owner (but that’s a story for another time).

The winner of this, the Friends of the Merril Short Story Contest‘s first Mini-Contest, is:

Alan Place

We will be in touch with the winner shortly, and the prize will be awarded through Author Creations.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the entrants, and we wish you luck next time round.

As a reminder, the Friends of the Merril Short Story Contest is still open, and all entrants have until February 15th, 2012 to get their entries in to us. As always, if you have any questions regarding the Friends of the Merril Short Story Contest, or related material, please address them to Michael Matheson at
